so I went and bought a Nintendo DS..pink just to be cool :)
and I bought the new Pokemon game...I sat and played the game ..beside my boyfriend..I eventually realized the game was pretty fun aha
but heres the best part.. when he was done playing.. I would continue.. he eventually realized what I was doing.. (turning the tables)...and its all better

Sadly, I can relate. I dated a Pokemon-obsessed guy for almost a year and a half in high school who would schedule our dates around the show. Consider that he was a senior when I was a sophomore. He was still a really nice guy, though, so we found ways to work around it. (It's why he saw so many chick flicks in that year and a half.)
It's probably for the best that he turned down the sex. But it still sucks that you're going to lose out on sex for a little while over a damn game. If he's a good guy otherwise, then it might be worth it to grin and bear it.

The funny part is lots of guys go for games>sex, and Pokemon is #2 selling so, actually, not too shocking, but the irony is I got that and the DSi when they came out for my B-day :D

man. When platinum came out, I played for 3-1/2 days straight..and woke up to sex,
i didn't really mind so much, but I'm glad my girl understood why I was a hermit for 3-1/2 days.
I payed her back though. haha. You have no idea how long I was wating for it to come out,
she understood. =P Cause she loves me.
But seriously.

I can see where the guy was coming from (no pun intended):
Platinum has just come out and he want to buy it. Naturally he wishes to do so while it is still in stock.
Consider this: Boy does girl, boy goes to buy Platinum post intercourse, Platinum no longer in stock, boy has to wait several days.
However if the boy buys Platinum, he could (in theory) do the girl the following day, or even straight after buying Platinum and not have to wait.
FYL for not knowing the pleasures of Pokemon.
