Man or woman?

Today, my child says "Mommy. Sometimes my peepee goes up like a stick." I say "Well, honey, that's normal and ok." Then I ask when it does that. And he says "Well, sometimes when watching Scooby Doo and Shaggy comes out dressed in lady clothes..." FML

You shouldn't jump to conclusions right away. He's still really young and doesn't know the difference.

#2 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:23am by renodion

not really unnatural. i remember when I was young I used to do things like that too. I wouldn't worry, your child will be okay.

#3 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:23am by phobes

LOL HAHAHAHAHA And what about now?

#211 - On 06/16/2009 at 9:43pm by spitball1074

Isn't it a little inappropriate to ask what turns on your 4 year old?

#4 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:24am by olivejuice

Incredibly.

Its's better to find out when they're younger. Then for the rest of their life you can try to change them.

#6 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:27am by Root123

Whoa. Do you realize how messed up that sounded? I hope that was a joke. Otherwise, you just sounded like one of those Christian people that sprinkle holy water on gay people and are like "Repel the unholy forces." or w/e the hell they say. T_T

#212 - On 06/16/2009 at 9:45pm by spitball1074

im pretty sure that was a joke :)

#213 - On 06/20/2009 at 2:00pm by vampemu

Ditto to #4.

Besides, what does it matter if he digs guys in girls' clothing? Whatever makes him happy.

#7 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:28am by Eresbel

WTH is wrong with you? You don't ask your young son what gives him a puffy!

#8 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:34am by Gawain

you do know that little boys get hard on for no reason what so ever, right? and to #6--there is no reason to change him if that is the way he was born!

#9 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:42am by alexwithboobts

The thruth: It still turns me on sometimes.
*thank god i'm not alone*

#3 Just wait till he start wearing dresses and mommy thinks: "Where did this go wrong?"

#10 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:59am by maddog

Hahahahahaha! That's hilarious, but probably holds no relevance to the cause of his erection.

#11 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:01am by youreawhore

ahahahahaha

#12 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:14am by calmthefuck_down

That is hilarious that he would say that.

#13 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:18am by ericbrat20

He was just fucking with you.

#14 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:22am by inktree

This is my favorite FML ever.

#15 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:27am by freddie

Its not a problem, don't be a homophobe, there's nothing wrong with being gay. I have a gay brother and I am ok with it.

#16 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:43am by ZZ0238

That is hilarious. But really nothing to worry about, there's no reason for it. Also, if your child is alive and healthy and you have a tv to watch Scooby Doo on, sounds like your life ain't that bad.

#17 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:02am by perfectphlaws

Your life isn't fucked... but HIS will be when you tell that story at his wedding... bwahahaha

#18 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:06am by xnj319

Agree with #9... you don't have to "change" him. There's nothing wrong with him, he's a 4-year-old boy.

#19 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:13am by blacklagoon

lmao, #18 is so true.

In like 20 years, we'll log on to this site and there'll be an FML on here saying:

Today, I got married. My Mother procedeed to tell a story about how when I was 4 years old I got hard over Shaggy cross dressing on Scooby Doo. FML.

#20 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:13am by commafullstop

When I was little (like maybe 5 or 6) I would make my Barbie doll make out with my Ken doll without clothes. I didn't know what it meant but I do remember getting excited. Your kid probably doesn't know what that's about either. You shouldn't worry but at the same time there's nothing wrong with being gay or bi.

#21 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:15am by mastercrammer

#21 me to. or should that be "too".

#221 - On 06/29/2009 at 5:10pm by celestial_42

That's fine. If you had Ken dressed in lady clothes, however...

#242 - On 11/13/2009 at 8:24am by fakkumairaifu

No big deal.

#22 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:17am by kongdonkeykong

#4, where does it say that the kid is 4? I must have read a different FML?

#23 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:26am by star_ver

now now
is it a nature vs. nurture case I'm seeing here?

#24 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:28am by yellowwboi

lmaoo... this is hilarious!!!
and i find it really amusing how everyone on here just decided the kid is 4....
anyways, dnt wrry, hes a lil kid. when he grows up, im sure hell outgrow it.... =]

#25 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:32am by theluckygirl28

Is this FML about your son being gay or a furry?

#26 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:44am by TerAki

i think it might be time to let him watch lesbian porn, i think that might be the only way to keep him straight, not that there's anything wrong with being gay

#27 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:47am by deuce_wild

Where's the FML?

If you're implying that you think your life sucks because your very young child might be gay, then you're just being greedy and want everything in life to be perfect don't you????!!!!!

Greedy.

#28 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:47am by mesosexy

Awwww Tranny Chaser at such a young age! How cute. XD

Yes. I'm going to see the HUMOR in this, as intended, unlike most of the tight-asses above me. ^^;;

:)

#31 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:57am by save_me_08

Sounds strangely made up.

#32 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:59am by Fleur

I just busted out laughing in the middle of class, thanks.
Don't be worried though, if he likes boys then you at least have time to get used to that fact. If not then #18 has the right idea.

#33 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:00am by _Vereo_

Ah awkward youthful boners

how i remember those :D

#34 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:04am by ecrw

More like FHL for having a mother that creepily asks what turns him on, for assuming at his young age that it means he is gay, for thinking her life is fucked because of the possibility that he is, and for then posting it online.

#35 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:12am by thisismyname

You basically asked him what turns him on. And he told you.

#36 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:26am by wallythedolly

hahha. he's just a kid. don't worry about it.

#37 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:35am by fmlrox334

...you asked...he answered...if he's into guys theres nothing you can do...well you know unless you want a miserable child for the rest of your natural life...but that seems a bit extreme to me

#38 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:36am by madame_malfoy

Time to ask your 28 year old son to move out of the basement, eh Mom?

#39 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:40am by Melanie

erections from scooby-doo? lol. makes ME look normal for once. XD

#41 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:54am by bubs_AKA_vermin

Is this an FML because you think your son is gay??? Please tell me that it isn't. Your poor, poor son. Whether he's straight or gay, he deserves a more accepting and open-minded parent than you. This is the twenty-first century. We don't stone homosexuals any more, you bigot.

#42 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:59am by kellster

18 & 35 FTW.

#43 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:12am by JohnnyViola

is your child 4 or 40?

if your answer is the latter, you have a problem

#45 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:31am by TheAntiComment

She obviously wrote this because she doesn't likethat her son likes men in womens clothing. He's still young. You can still change him:)

#46 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:34am by Hum

Just wait until he sees Bugs Bunny doing it...

#47 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:44am by Endymion

I think I've seen every episode of scooby doo....when the hell does shaggy dress like a woman?? I know bugs bunny used to do it a lot...i mean....from what ive been told

#48 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:53am by d_a_n311

LOL to be honest doesn't necessarily mean your child is gay, at a young age this can happen any time for the craziest reason. It's just absolutely hilarious.

Besides if your son is gay then this still isnt a FML situation, nothing wrong with that.

#49 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:57am by ijrnelson

And your point is? If your child is using childish terms to describe his genitalia, then he's a child. He hasn't finished growing and developing. How you treat him now depends on how much respect he has for himself when he grows up. He isn't doing anything wrong. Don't treat him like he's a deviant freak. He isn't.

#50 - On 03/20/2009 at 12:02pm by cj_gurl

I've decided that the child in question is 4 years old.

#51 - On 03/20/2009 at 12:10pm by someone_else

hes just a little kid its not a big deal.

Wow.

#57 - On 03/20/2009 at 1:31pm by Sa_Ku

#58 - On 03/20/2009 at 1:38pm by Kitten125

Wow, don't worry, I'm sure he'll grow out of the phase.

#59 - On 03/20/2009 at 1:38pm by alex_vik

HAHA #39

you guys need to get a sense of humor. true, not an FML, but thats funny as hell! do tell this on his wedding day!

and it would've been nice to tell what age he is, cuz like some people said 4 or 40?

#60 - On 03/20/2009 at 1:39pm by latuka

HAHA that's hilarious. Kids are so funny.

#61 - On 03/20/2009 at 1:42pm by mobitsfa

Agree with #4, why in the fuck would you ask something like that?

#62 - On 03/20/2009 at 1:59pm by Broc

Interesting fetish your little kid has got there... Not just into cross dressing, but also bestiality.

#63 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:18pm by Silhouette

i didn't even know that small children could get hard

#64 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:22pm by lindsey88

I've been getting hard since I was 7.

#254 - On 02/06/2010 at 12:18am by QWERTYCommander

first of all, you asked, so you deserve that.
second of all, WHY is this a FML? are you ashamed your son might be gay?
i feel bad for you if that's the case, you shouldn't be a parent.

#65 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:27pm by ell3x0

thats an awkward conversation.

#66 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:48pm by shehzeenahmed

#48 lol I used to watch Scooby Doo alll the time when i was a little kid. Shaggy and Scooby sometimes where women's clothing to disguise themselves from whatever "monster" was chasing them...

(:

#67 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:50pm by yourlifesux

THERE IS NOW AN IMAGE IN MY MIND THAT I CAN'T UNSEE.

#68 - On 03/20/2009 at 2:56pm by Travel

haha it dosen't matter that he's still kinda funny. Well he's probably not gay or else he would have said whenever hes watching scooby doo and Fred take his shirt off. I foyu're worried you could always send him to one of those straight camps that the christians have.

#69 - On 03/20/2009 at 3:10pm by cyberhoy

Uh.. are you a homophobe or transphobe or something?
Your child is a beautiful and wonderful thing and you're instilling horrible, discriminatory values in him.

lmao. I

#77 - On 03/20/2009 at 4:01pm by MxTori

and thats a FML why??? #1, hes little and doesnt know the difference. #2, so what if hes gay or bi or w.e

#78 - On 03/20/2009 at 4:03pm by infidelboy

That's what you get for asking him that question.

#79 - On 03/20/2009 at 4:05pm by x3_LaLa_3x

so what if he's gay, u should love him no matter what. and young kids dont really know the difference between liking a girl and guy sexually untill they are older anyway

#80 - On 03/20/2009 at 4:05pm by Madworldafterall

HAHAHA

#87 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:03pm by evanescence

1. youre jumping to conclusions.
2. even if your son were gay, how the fuck is that a fmylife?

#88 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:08pm by flyfallfadeaway

at least he didnt say "when my teacher touches me"

#89 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:11pm by Tamar

Oh, yes, fuck your life. You're kid is obviously a raging homosexual for getting random, innocent erections.

Please.

#90 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:11pm by Ahhem

lmfao thats great.

#91 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:30pm by bellaxobrianna

well, he's just a kid. dunn worry. :D

#92 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:48pm by elisabeth96

hehehe this is good for a chuckle.

#93 - On 03/20/2009 at 5:54pm by Cre6rul

So maybe he's gay... why should that be an fml?

#94 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:06pm by kmth79

This isn't really an FML. It just means that he is going to have a lot of friends who are girls, will dress nicely, and be clean all the time.

#95 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:09pm by Monty_Python

I laughed out loud at this one...I'm not saying that. That's funny. XD

Kids do stuff like that. My friend's son got erections all the time...at the age of five, he'd already discovered that rubbing his penis while in the bathtub made it hard. And he openly conveyed this information to anyone willing to listen. He also told random people that his mother (my friend) had a "hair penis" (his word for a vagina). Apparently, he'd seen his mother naked, and all he saw was fur.

#96 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:18pm by wildstar

Some people seem offended by this fml because "there's nothing wrong with being gay." Let's get past that for a moment...I still think it's a fml. Shaggy isn't exactly a looker..

#97 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:28pm by e86

Shaggy must have been wearing pretty gawd dam nice lookin women clothes..

#98 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:34pm by TastyBiscuit

@97: Agreed. XD
...Sorry, Shags.

#99 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:39pm by Tobias_Grey

Hahaha, just don't ask next time.
Little boys have strange...antics.
He'll probably be "normal" eventually.
And 97, totally agreed. This isn't about being gay at all.

#100 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:43pm by meggles315

lol...well how does that mean he's gay? i mean he's only attracted to shaggy when he looks like a woman

#101 - On 03/20/2009 at 6:55pm by bunnygirl

haha at 96 hair penis

#102 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:15pm by cyberhoy

Man, this is so fake.

#103 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:16pm by liquidskyfire

I don't know if this is an FML, but come on, people. It's perfectly logical to ask her son when it happens so she knows what to expect in terms of questions and whether anything's actually wrong or not. Now if she'd gone into creepy detail like "What do you do with it?" THEN it'd be a problem.

#104 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:22pm by machinedreams

lmfao @ #4

#105 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:41pm by Incubus

So what if he does turn out to be gay?

Jesus, it's the 21st Century people.

#106 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:43pm by jackanackanory

Tell him to move off Scooby Doo, and onto Brittney Spears :)

#107 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:45pm by NeverMind88

You should learn some psychology. Its called a schema, and he's associating everything in a dress as a woman who he should be attracted to. That's assimilation. Once he gets older, he'll start making accommodation, he'll then realize shaggy in a dress is not a woman and probably stop getting turned on. Ever wonder why little kids sometimes call tables doggies? its cuz there is a strange similarity between the two in a child's mind.

#108 - On 03/20/2009 at 7:52pm by cantwhistle

It's cute. And a normal thing for a little kid. No biggie. Listen to number 108. They are wise.

#111 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:28pm by heyitsmegxx

I remember getting random boners when I was your son's age. When I was in Kindergarten at after-school care there was this illustrated novel of 'The Little Mermaid' and in that scene where she's on the beach and gets her wish granted to become human, in one cell it shows her walking up the beach naked and you could see her bottom! I used to get a 6 year old boner looking at that pic lol.

As for your son, I imagine it's probably the fact that Shaggy is a guy but he's dressed in women's clothing and he knows that isn't 'normal' so the deviance of it is arousing to him at such a tender age. I wouldn't worry about him in the long run though. Shaggy dressed normally giving him a boner- now that would be something to worry about!

#112 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:28pm by Bennyboy1985

Remember, you're son is probably young, I have a brother who laughs at the word butts and penis, and everything, but it's okay. It's their age.

#113 - On 03/20/2009 at 8:57pm by lalush

i didnt even know little kids could get erections.....

#114 - On 03/20/2009 at 9:32pm by summer66

#117 - On 03/20/2009 at 10:55pm by tarheel_fan

Lmfao.
No biggy.
XD
He's still young.

#118 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:00pm by billygonepunk

Hahaha, at least you know early. Get ready for the gayness!

#119 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:16pm by SIK07GTSTANG

Young males, including children, get random erections all the time for no particular reason. I don't think your son's doomed to be gay or a transvestite, so I wouldn't worry.

#120 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:17pm by Morsus

Comments should be turned off because it's about a little kid :/

Also, suggestion for the people in charge- Is there any way to reply to comments? That'd be great! :)

#121 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:26pm by nat66623

Take a glance into the future..."When I was young my mom realized I was gay...she posted it on FML....FML."

#122 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:31pm by KerlyFries

So why is it a big deal the kid might be gay, I mean he is little odds are he isn't whats the deal? I say FML for the kid who has to live with a parent like you that judges a freaking little kid.

#123 - On 03/20/2009 at 11:43pm by ThatDarnBandit

That happens to me sometimes. I'm 42.

Jk.

#124 - On 03/21/2009 at 1:49am by IamSpartacus

#128 - On 03/21/2009 at 2:36am by louyfi85

if the mom was that disturbed/ upset that she thought her child might be gay, i don't think she'd be posting it on FML. just sayin.

#20 FTW.

#129 - On 03/21/2009 at 3:48am by blushinFML

Um, little boys get "hard" for no particular reason. My mom said my brother's pee-wee stands up a lot of time when she (or even my dad) is changing his diaper.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL ROFL LOLO LOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLLOOL THAT made my day

#131 - On 03/21/2009 at 1:08pm by mrquinn1

what the fuck.
why is this an FML.

WHY would you be upset at that?
1.) you asked your child what turns him on. there is something wrong with that.
2.) there is nothing wrong with what he said.
3.) WHY ARE THERE COMMENTS SAYING "IT'S OK HE MIGHT BE NORMAL DONT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS"

this site is suddenly disgustingly homophobic.

#132 - On 03/21/2009 at 1:29pm by greenrapsody

Obviously this is just an innocent young boy's comment so that no big deal.

#4.. you can try to CHANGE him? Ugh what are you talking about!

Also if someone enjoys cross-dressing then it really doesn't mean they're gay. Transvestism does not = gay. Not by a long shot!

Agreeing with #132 this site IS suddenly disgustingly homophobic!

I enjoy #97's comment! Haha!

#133 - On 03/21/2009 at 1:35pm by ActYourRage

No big deal... it doesn't really mean anything at that age...

#134 - On 03/21/2009 at 2:58pm by musicislife

This is complete BS.

#136 - On 03/21/2009 at 5:29pm by jacobb

seriousl.y, thats not a big deal, he's just a little kid! At least he doesnt have any life threatening diseases or anything... it will be a funny story to tell when he's older

#137 - On 03/21/2009 at 6:39pm by milkduds22

why is this an FML??? I mean, it's funny, but he's just a kid! if it just started and he's still calling you "Mommy", I'm guessing he's 8 or 9. But I agree with #137... this is just going to make one great story!!!

#138 - On 03/21/2009 at 11:59pm by FAKEinternetNAME

y'know, I'm pretty sure #6 is being sarcastic.

#139 - On 03/22/2009 at 12:42am by isantorin

Maybe you have a budding kinkster, maybe you don't. Either way is OK. However, it's not appropriate to ask sexual questions of a kid who's still young enough to talk about his "peepee".

#140 - On 03/22/2009 at 7:04pm by kisekileia

Because obviously your child having a different sense in what turns him on is going to ruin your life. Fail

#141 - On 03/22/2009 at 8:01pm by 120A03352

#6. thats horrible. why would you want to "change" your child? you should ACCEPT them the way they are. no parent wants to be the deuche who tells their kids that the natural feelings they are having are wrong and they need to be ashamed of them.

#142 - On 03/22/2009 at 8:34pm by jennaleighhh

They wouldn't tell him that at that moment but if he grows up to be gay because of the public school system then she should tell him tha it's a lie from the pit of hell

#218 - On 06/23/2009 at 12:20am by oogyboogy

Yes, how terrible you have it.

God forbid your child be gay or bi because clearly that is the WORST thing in life that can happen ... stfu.

#143 - On 03/23/2009 at 10:31am by jaclynkathleen

1) He's a kid.....
2) Does it matter it he's gay?
3) you're an idiot

#63- SHAGGY, not SCOOBY!

#145 - On 03/23/2009 at 4:05pm by qwerty123456789

So THAT'S what happened to J. Edgar Hoover!

Don't worry, though. At least it wasn't SCOOBY in the dress. Plus, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. Or maybe he's just a little confused...don't worry so much about it.

#146 - On 03/23/2009 at 4:41pm by uhnonnuhmus

atleast they are dressed as women...

#6 she shouldnt try and change him...
you love who you love...

#147 - On 03/23/2009 at 5:03pm by samtamrox

Why is everyone getting so serious about this and calling her a bad parent? She obviously wasn't about to condemn her son or abuse him for thinking he was gay. FML is a site to post things to make people laugh, and this was hilarious.

People need to calm down and stop being so haughty thinking they are the righteous hero for calling other people homophobic. Then again it's the internet, you post anything and not expect all sorts of immature flamers.

#148 - On 03/23/2009 at 5:51pm by airplanefood

How could you say that??? F*** My Life about having a son who may not be straight? And airplanefood, if you think that people objecting to bigoted behavior is a sign of being haughty, you are truly an idiot. There is a sexual orientation called "pansexual", where the person is attracted to men, women, transgender, intersex, cross dressers, and everyone in between. (Not every single person, obviously, like a straight woman is not attracted to every single man in existence.) If this poor kid's mother shows that she is upset about this, her child will learn that if he isn't straight, what he is is shameful. He will grow up confused and depressed. Have you ever looked at the suicide rates amongst non-straight people?! A woman doing this to her own son is NOT funny! It's incredibly hurtful. And I can't believe that some of you said that she should try to change her son!!!

I know what I'm talking about. I'm a pansexual person who grew up confused and depressed, and I tried to kill myself earlier this year. I have many friends in my local gay-straight alliance who share my experience.

To the mother, and to all the people who thought she was right in being upset, or encouraged her to try to change him, SHAME ON YOU!!! Someday, his blood, or some other poor soul's blood, will be on your hands.

#149 - On 03/23/2009 at 9:22pm by ModernDayHippie

I'm in complete agreement with 149, but would also like to add that he's four, and this means nothing.

#150 - On 03/23/2009 at 9:50pm by QTip824

how is this an fml?
oh boo hoo, poor you. life is a disaster.
really? move on, at least he's alive and breathing.

#151 - On 03/24/2009 at 12:43am by ksk

Yeah, not an FML. You fail. Homophobe.

#152 - On 03/24/2009 at 9:09pm by podrummer9209

... who ever in these comments says they can compare their child hood to this.... wow..

And it is a disaster... I would want not my son getting a hard on to some cartoon guy dressing up as a chick...

Just give your son a playboy or something.... Condition it out of him.. ha ha

#153 - On 03/25/2009 at 4:28pm by wwtrayn

haaaa.

#154 - On 03/25/2009 at 6:10pm by cheerleader2012

i think it's terrible that you are saying that him getting an erection from shaggy is negative. don't be a bigot. and also, he's dressed like a girl.

#155 - On 03/25/2009 at 9:15pm by Dear_Darling

i was in that kid's position when i was little. only, instead of shaggy, it was when the demon headmaster was hypnotising his students. basically i told my mom i have a hypnosis fetish when i was six years old. that's more of a fml, especially since i still have it now.

#156 - On 03/26/2009 at 5:10am by kyupichi

You have to realize that your son is still young, and he doesn't completely know about sexuality yet. If he happens to be attracted to drag queens when he's older, I would encourage you to support him. I'm 14 and lesbian. My mother doesn't know yet, but I'm sure that if she rejected me because of it I would literally die of internal rending, no joke. Make sure that your son knows that you will love him no matter what, and for yourself, make sure that when you tell him that it's true.

#157 - On 03/26/2009 at 8:22pm by nobody_important

Shaggy is kind of hot.. in a scrub kind of way.

#158 - On 03/27/2009 at 12:32am by Skye621

If you're worried that he's gay, I think you should probably put that fear on hold a few years. He's four. When he was one, he probably got erections when you were changing his diapers, and that didn't mean he's attracted to older women.

Or is it that you object to Shaggy because he's a dirty hippy?

In any case, count your blessings. When I was four, I thought Scooby was hot.

#159 - On 03/27/2009 at 8:37am by CoyoteOldOne

29- you make my life, lmao.

if he's gay(or bi, transgender, pansexual, w/e), its ok.

and yea, 108, thank you for inserting some intelligence.

your son is adorable. and thats fucking hilarious. i hope you have the good sense to not judge or try to change your children. love them for who they are; raise them to be sympathetic, compassionate, hardworking, and try to keep their self esteem high and their drug use and depression at normal levels when they become teenagers.

#160 - On 03/28/2009 at 12:58am by wellaintit_irony

It took me 15 minutes to read this because of how hard I was laughing.

#161 - On 03/28/2009 at 1:35am by Lou_Briccant

Scooby Doo is a dog .. I think he likes the girl clothes not the fact that he's a guy or whatever ..

#162 - On 03/28/2009 at 1:34pm by HahahaThatsFunny

"89" said: at least he didn't say "when my teacher touches me"

I think the above is what the mother was worried about, not about future sexuality, and what she got was a hilarious answer.

#163 - On 03/28/2009 at 11:58pm by Zits

How did you get your kid to speak so openly to you? I'm about to have the sex talk with my thirteen year old son, and I've seen him have erections when I go to wake him up in the morning and at the beach, and I want to explain to him that it's normal and also that it's okay to get turned on by a girl. May you please share some of your advice?

#164 - On 03/29/2009 at 12:15am by 4sons

Just flick his nuts everytime Scooby Doo is on, his erection is guaranteed to go away

#165 - On 03/29/2009 at 10:20pm by Anonym123

lol, i like Shaggy

#166 - On 03/31/2009 at 3:31pm by baseball07

WOAH #164. No offense, but I think you should have had that talk WAYYYYYYYY before he turned 13! I bet your son can tell you a thing or two that you didn't know! There are boys having sex before they turn 13 today - it's ridiculous, but it happens. Good for you for having such an uncomfortable talk, but I think you will find he is more educated about this then you think he is! Good luck!

#167 - On 04/01/2009 at 7:16pm by lems18902

#167, i know and I have had been urging my husband to help me, but every time i've tried to bring up that im going to have the sex talk with my son, my husband thinks it way to early. Im an over protective mom, so I make my children go to a private school and also do a black light test in their rooms to make sure there not doing the naughty

#168 - On 04/01/2009 at 10:23pm by 4sons

I think most kids are gonna be fine without the whole "birds and the bees" talk, as the feelings usually come naturally. If a kid's 13 years old, chances are he has a pretty general idea as to how the no-pants-dance goes down.. I mean, this is coming from someone whose never had "the talk", and I'm perfectly fine.

#169 - On 04/02/2009 at 12:46am by Lou_Briccant

hahaha! thats so funny!

#170 - On 04/02/2009 at 9:52pm by macederrick

Lols! O.o .. Had similar situations with my little brother like that lol. I try to redirect him to my mom, but he's a bit older, he's 10, But I think he knows lol!

Tell him to go take a cold shower or something? Idk does that work for guys XD? to calm themselves down?

Oh forgot he's a kid! Tell him to stop watching ScoobieDoO! XD

#171 - On 04/03/2009 at 1:34pm by Vivelle

Everyone stop making huge debates about if this is normal or not.
Its just so damn funny!

#172 - On 04/03/2009 at 6:21pm by Howdyplz

Personally I always got arroused by Velma with her miniskirt and big tits that would show up through her sweater she must have been tons of fun in the sack

#173 - On 04/03/2009 at 9:52pm by ZiggyMorrison

Why is everybody just suddenly assuming he's gay?
Not that there's anything wrong with being gay it's just that this doesn't mean he is gay.

He's a little kid. He doesn't even understand what it is! And either way, he is getting hard at a man wearing a dress, might be that he thinks it's a girl... I mean, I saw Shaggy dressed up as a girl once and he really didn't look half bad...

and the mom wants to know because it's her child and wants to know if he gets hard on nothing in particular or something is wrong with him.
I would want to know if my child was doing that. She is just being a caring mother.

And for the people who think that we are homophobic, we are not. we are just saying that we don't think he's gay. We aren't making fun of anybody and most commenters aren't saying that gay isn't normal. we are saying that the child IS normal. I don't think he's gay. Oh I guess I'm a homophobic! *sarcasm*

#174 - On 04/05/2009 at 2:36pm by MizzHollywood

To everyone gay bashing/defending... little kids get boners over the most random shit.

On the plus side, she did have tits.

Everyone has to lighten up. The mom never used the word gay, everyone else did. As a gay person I'm not offended, nor should any of you.

Personally I think it's hilarious and cute. :D I'm sure you don't have to worry about him dressing your dog in a dress later in life.

#183 - On 04/20/2009 at 8:15pm by roflwafl123

One of my friends had his first reaction while watching White Fang.

He's not into bestiality.

Your kid is young, it's normal, don't start feeling like you failed as a parent.

#184 - On 04/22/2009 at 3:55pm by simplewhimsy

I doubt that means anything, because of how young he is. And so what if he DOES turn out to be gay or bisexual? What's wrong with being homosexual or bisexual?

#185 - On 04/22/2009 at 4:32pm by kay_jay

ur kid is fricking gay doesnt that suck

#186 - On 04/23/2009 at 2:13am by jon_cohen

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with your son being gay. If he's gay, then you need to learn to accept him for who he is. And, plus, you says he's a child, well, honey, young guys have random boners. It might not be linked to Scooby Doo at all.

#187 - On 04/29/2009 at 7:56pm by lmaofml7

Tha'ts hard to believe a four year old would say that, but in which case it is not something to worry about at such a young age.

#188 - On 05/01/2009 at 7:30pm by Air_Jordan_23

He's young still. I wouldn't worry.

#189 - On 05/04/2009 at 3:27am by 24788

#198 - On 05/23/2009 at 3:28pm by mwilhelm

#199 - On 05/24/2009 at 5:05pm by piperian396

#168

How old are you're children? I'm pretty sure 13 is the appropriate time to have the birds and bees talk, and if by then your husband doesn't want to do it, talk to them yourself.

I'm going to assume that "doing the naughty" means masturbation. If that is the case, shame on you for not letting them have the release of sexual pressure. If you won't let them jerk off, it's likely they'll find some hore to get their rocks off. Overprotective can be a wrong move.

My son tells me random stuff like this, too, so no worries. Thanks for sharing this, I had a great laugh. As for some people here thinking it was inappropriate of you to ask when it happens, they should know that as mothers we need to 1) know for sure what our 4 year old is talking about and 2) the details of what their 4 year old is actually talking about so they can ascertain whether there is something wrong. Nothing inappropriate about the question, you were doing your job Mom.

Boys who haven't gone through puberty just get random erections. It's likely he jut remembers this because he likes the show. Once they hit puberty they get erections caused by sexual attraction.

I totally agree with #4. You should have left it as, "It's natural & ok." That's gross.

#240 - On 11/05/2009 at 12:13pm by Destroy_Me

This is hilarious, but I don't really see the FML in this.
This story doesn't mean that your son is gay or anything, why that now would be something that would fuck up your life. And quite frankly, I don't believe that this means a cross-dressing Shaggy turns him on either. What I know about stuff like this, is that it can happen to like, anything, am I correct?
So don't freak out, his still just a little kid. And if he now turns out to be gay, bi or whatever, you'll just support him, right? Right?!

Oh, and I love #18.

What. The. Fuck.

Your kid is seriously messed up. I would take him to a child psychologist immediately. I'm not a homophobe or anything that is just plain weird.

Hey, my lil cousin (he was like... 7 or 8) told me once that he got a boner from watching a cartoon girl getting beated the crap outta her... he's 16 now and hasn't murdered yet... so i guess my point is "so what if some people like to watch cartoon characters doing kinky and sexy stuff, the important thing is to pay the bills and be happy with your life..."

You or your husband have the gay gene, therefore, your life is actually pretty f/ed, just wait til he leaves to "the office" every night.

how is this a FML?
at his age this is totally normal and it doesn't mean he's gay, if that's what you fear.
if i EVER have a boy, I WILL PRAY that he is gay actually :D
